Week 4 NFL Picks
As usual we're going to pick our three best bets against the spread, a money-line, and a total.
Against the Spread
Vikings at Packers (-2.5)
Brian Flores defense is complex and hard to defend. If anyone can scheme up and execute a good game plan against it, it's Matt LaFleur and Jordan Love, but with his knee injury Love won't be as mobile. The Packers are thin at CB with Jaire Alexander unlikely to play. With the Packers favored, this is a no-brainer.
Pick: Vikings + 2.5
Seahawks at Lions (-3.5)
The Lions are not the juggernauts that they were last year. They miss Jonah Jackson and Frank Ragnow. Geno Smith is dealing and Ryan Grubb is dialing up good gameplans. Mike McDonald is going to scheme some sim presures against Jared Goff-that's kind of his achilles heel.
Pick: Seahawks + 3.5
Browns at Raiders (+2.5)
DeShaun Watson is washed and the Raiders have a serious defense. The Browns' D isn't quite the same as it was last year. Take the Raiders and the points.
Pick: Raiders
Money Line
Chiefs (-345) at Chargers (+275)
The Chiefs are the better team. No doubt but the Chargers have shown a lot more git and resolve under Jim Harbaugh. Justin Herbert is more capable of handling Steve Spagnuolo's dynamic defense than most. Take the +275 and cross your fingers.
Pick: Chargers
Total
Bills at Ravens (46.5)
The Bills scored 47 last week. The Ravens defense is a lot better than the Jags but Josh Allen is a man possessed. Lamar will score a few points himself.
Pick: Over 46.5
