Super Bowl LVII (58) Picks

 Money Line

49ers (-130)

Chiefs (+110)

Take the Chiefs. I expect them to win outright. How you gonna pick against Mahomes?

Point Spread

49ers (-2.5 at -105)

Chiefs (+2.5 at -115)

Take the Chiefs. Not only do you win if the Chiefs do, but you win even if they lose on a last second do or die field goal.

Over (47.5 at -110)

Under (47.5 at -110)

MVP

Isiah Pacheco (+3500)

Is it likely that Isaiah Pacheco is Super Bowl MVP? Nah, only 7 out of 57 Super Bowl MVPs have gone to running backs. But Pacheco is a baller and the 49ers gave up the 6.47 ypc in 2023, the most in the NFL. If you like chalk, Mahomes at +135 isn't terrible but I wouldn't.

Props

Brock Purdy over 246.5 passing yards (-110)

The Chiefs defense is good against the pass but I think Chiefs' defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo loads up to stop the run and Purdy is the beneficiary to the tune of about 270 yards or so.

Travis Kelce over 0.5 rushing yards (+750)

Andy Reid always comes up with some crazy calls in big games. I think he calls an end around for Kelce at some point. And you only need one yard to hit this +750 long shot.

Brandon Aiyuk under 63.5 yards (-110)

L'jarius Snead is one of the best corners in the league. I think he'll follow Aiyuk much of the game. Also, the Chiefs' blitz happy defense will force Purdy to get the ball out early to Deebo and Christian McCaffrey for YAC opportunities. Aiyuk will lose out and end up with 40 or so yards.

Noah Gray over 10.5 yards (-130)

The Chiefs will be in 12 and 13 personnel a lot in order to get the 49ers into base defense. The Chiefs of course will counter with play action. Kelce will be targeted a lot. So will Rashee Rice. But the 49ers will try to take them away. Gray will benefit hugely. And you only need one reception to hit on this.
